Godbreaker

Raised in an anti-immortality cult, Elizabeth has devoted her life to protecting humanity from immortals. When the cult army’s chief — Elizabeth’s father — is murdered, he names Elizabeth his successor, convinced that her knowledge of the gods will lead mankind to victory.

But Elizabeth’s own people doubt her. Her enemies want to use her. And an unexpected encounter with a stray immortal begins to unravel everything she knows about time, power, and the family she was raised to defend.

Godbreaker is a prequel short novel set in the larger world of Maverick Gods. It can be read independently, without any prior series knowledge.
